The goal here

is to create and validate the first ever Senegambian script that leverages the ubiquitous rules of consonant mutation, using the type language, Fula, as a case study.

Here are the goals I have set out to achieve:

Aim 1: To create a writing system that is capable of modeling consonant mutation across all Senegambian languages

Aim 2: To lower the barrier to studying Fula as a second-language

Aim 3: To increase symmetric mutual intelligibility across the Fula dialect continuum

Aim 4: To lay down the ground work for developing a systematic Modern Standard Fula
